We funded our first project using our new platform and will be hand delivering it to Mr. Hunter Jackson in New Orleans on October 11th.  We will be distributing 8 volcano packages that students will assemble.  Through the assembly process, they will learn the science behind volcanos and how they form islands like Hawaii. My name is Hunter Jackson, and I’m teaching science at a small public middle school in St. Bernard Parish, about 30 minutes east of New Orleans. It is a town of oil workers and fishermen, fried shrimp and swamps, and of course, adversity. The entire community was submersed after Katrina, and is fighting to regain normalcy to this day.
